My chair is one of the chosen! I was surprised and delighted that the director and the curator of the Musée des beaux arts de Sherbrooke selected my chair amongst twelve for a live auction --a fundraising event for Sutton's cultural centre-- from the fifty wonderful chairs done by local artists. The vernissage was a couple of weeks ago. The culminating event is tomorrow evening. I'm a bit nervous: the bidding starts at $500.

Yet more attention for the cover design!
David Drummond's brilliant cover design for my book keeps attracting attention. This time it won a cover design contest at Abe Books. (I only voted in one round!)

A wonderful review
I just happened upon this review of my book by David Leahy in Canadian Literature. An unexpected Sunday gift.
"Briscoe has a talent for dissecting, often via stunning figurative juxtapositions, the lurking threats and paradoxes of our relationships to a deceptively idyllic world."
